Continuing Professional Development Policy
Introduction
CMPI board has identified the requirement of continuing professional development (CPD) for all its certified members to
- Maintain the professional standard.
- Comply with the international requirements for the purpose of recognition of CMPI certification
The purpose of this policy is to state the requirements for all certified members of the college to maintain their individual registrations with the college.

CPD – Continuing Professional Development
Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of each certified member of the college to
- Complete the requirements given in this policy to maintain their registration status
- Maintain supporting documentation of attendance certificates, abstracts of conference papers, published papers etc.,
- Produce the supporting documentation as and when required by the college.
CPD Program
Requirements for Continuing Professional Development
- Certified member must produce a proof to the effect that he/she has been continuously employed as Clinical Medical Physicist in hospital(s) during the
preceding three years and continue to serve as Clinical Medical Physicist in a clinic at the time of review. - A minimum of 60 points of continuing education (CE) credits (in points) is required in the three years preceding to the date of reassessment which will
be on April 1 of every year. - Assessment shall take place three years after completion of the certification and every three years thereafter.
CPD Database
The CPD database will be maintained online on the CMPI website. The Registrar will be responsible for maintaining the database with the vendor. The
chairman and secretary will be given access to database while individual will have access only to their CPD data
Evaluation
CPD points of members shall be audited by the registrar.
Fees
Fee for CPD evaluation will be as decided by the board from time to time.
